Cash receipts missing from restaurant lock box

Some $151 of customer receipts were missing from a locked postal box at Clarke’s Restaurant on Davis Street. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Theft

800 Davis

About $151 of customer receipts from 1 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday were unaccounted for in a locked postal box at the cashiers station at Clarke’s Restaurant in the 800 block of Davis Street.

2400 Howard

Cash and a wallet were removed from a purse at a grocery store in the 2400 block of Howard Street around 5:15 p.m. Friday.

2300 Noyes

Credit and debit cards. as well as cash. were taken from a drawer at an apartment in the 2300 block of Noyes Court around 5:31 a.m. yesterday.

1937 Howard

Kyndrick D. Lindsey, 34, of 1731 Dodge Ave., was arrested at 1937 Howard St. at 7:14 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft.

Criminal Damage

624 Judson

Abram T. Rosenberg, 35, of 624 Judson Ave., was arrested at that address at 6:21 p.m. yesterday and charged with criminal damage of property.

720 Oakton

Robert N. Saenz, 44, address unknown, was arrested at 720 Oakton St. at 5:26 p.m. yesterday and charged with criminal damage of property. He is due in court on Nov. 5 at 9 a.m.

Drugs

5600 Old Orchard

Christopher L. Rucker, 32, of 1119 Sherman Ave., was arrested at 5600 Old Orchard Road at 10 a.m. on Sept. 23 and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.              

Traffic

Ridge at Cleveland

Richard D. Jarvis, 66, of 1725 Dodge Ave., was arrested at Ridge Avenue and Cleveland Street at 5:09 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
