Poodle is stolen from a yard on Florence

Someone stole a Chih Tzu poodle from the yard of a home in the 1100 block of Florence Avenue. This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Theft

1100 Florence

A Chih Tzu mixed breed poodle belonging to a 28-year-old  man was stolen around 11 a.m. yesterday from the yard of a home in the 1100 block of Florence Avenue.

2200 Howard

A cell phone and stereo equipment were taken from a store in the 2200 block of Howard Street around 6:15 p.m. Friday.

700 Chicago

Two purses were taken from a restaurant in the 700 block of Chicago Avenue around 2 p.m. Friday.  

1600 Sherman

Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from a retail establishment in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue around 1:15 p.m. Friday.

1900 Dempster

Alcoholic products were taken from a grocery store in the 1900 block of Dempster Street between 8:04 a.m. and 12:38 p.m. Saturday.

1100 Foster

A laptop computer was removed from the bedroom of an apartment in the 1100 block of Foster Street between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. Friday.

100 Asbury

Stereo equipment was taken from the CVS Pharmacy in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue around 6 p.m. Saturday.

Burglary

2300 Hastings

Cash, a laptop computer, clothing, documents, and glasses were among items taken from an unlocked vehicle in the driveway of a home in the 2300 block of Hastings Avenue between 6 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

800 Simpson

A purse and clothing items were taken from an unlocked apartment in the 800 block of Simpson Street around 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Criminal Damage

1000 Wesley

Someone damaged the door to an apartment in the 1000 block of Wesley Avenue between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. yesterday.

Graffiti

2200 Foster

Graffiti was discovered at a park in the 2200 block of Foster Street at 4:52 p.m. yesterday.

200 Callan

Graffiti was discovered in an apartment common area in the 200 block of Callan Avenue at 10 p.m. Friday.

Shots Heard

2700 Park

Gunshots were reported in the 2700 block of Park Place at 5:46 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Traffic                      

2000 Dodge

Malik Jackson, 20, of 2007 Dodge Ave., was arrested at that address at 2:36 a.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation He is due in court on Dec. 11 at 9 a.m.                                                                                                          

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
