Burglars access unlocked Ford on Wesley

An unlocked 2018 Ford was accessed by burglars in the 1100 block of Wesley Avenue. This story in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

A 2018 Ford in the 1100 block of Wesley Avenue was entered by a burglar between 6:30 p.m. Sunday and 11:06 a.m. yesterday. Nothing was reported taken.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.

What?!

So in a 14-15 hour period a person went into someone's unlocked vehicle and took nothing. How did they know someone was in the vehicle?

Oh ...

Oh, that's usually because everything that was in the glove box is now on the seat or the floor. Things like that that let the owner know the vehicle has been disturbed.
