Three shots were fired through the window of a barber shop near Dempster Street and Dodge Avenue. No one inside was hit. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Criminal Damage

1805 Dempster

Three shots were fired through the window of the Quality Cuts barber shop at 1805 Dempster St. at about 7:25 p.m. Friday. Although there were people inside, police said, no one was hit.

800 Clinton

A window was damaged at a  home in the 800 block of Clinton Place around 1:15 p.m. Saturday.

1800 Maple

Someone damaged the gate at the city parking garage in the 1800 block of Maple Avenue at 3:41 p.m. yesterday.

400 Michigan

Someone keyed the exterior of a 2007 Audi in the 400 block of Michigan Avenue between 4:30 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. yesterday.

Battery

134 Elmwood

Donnie R. Fisher, 43, of 134 Elmwood Ave., was arrested at that address at 6:38 a.m. Friday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on Jan. 29 at 9:30 a.m.

1427 Chicago

Michael Shelton, 62, address unknown, was arrested at 1427 Chicago Ave. at 8:07 p.m. Saturday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Feb. 14 at 9:30 a.m.

Burglary

2200 Oakton.

Burglars stole tools out of an unlocked 2015 Mercedez in the 2200 block of Oakton Street between 8:30 p.m. and 9:23 p.m. Friday.

Tools were taken from an unlocked 1999 Ford in the 2200 block of Oakton Street around 1:45 p.m.yesterday.

Graffiti

500 Sheridan

Graffiti was discovered at 7:31 a.m. yesterday in the alley of the 500 block of Sheridan Road.

Shots Heard

South Boulevard at Judson

Gunshots were reported near South Boulevard and Judson Avenue at 10:02 p.m. Friday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

2200 Howard

Merchandise was shoplifted at a store in the 2200 block of Howard Street at about 5:22 p.m. yesterday.

900 Maple

Medical equipment was taken from a mental health facility in the 900 block of Maple Avenue at 6:27 p.m. yesterday. The item taken was subsequently returned.

1600 Sherman

Merchandise was stolen from a store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue at 7:32 a.m. Friday.

A purse that was left unattended at a store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue was stolen at about 11:15 a.m. Friday.

1100 Dodge

A cell phone left unattended in a business parking lot in the 1100 block of Dodge Avenue was stolen at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

1600 Dodge

A cell phone was taken from an unsecured locker at Evanston Township High School between 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Friday.

300 Howard

Items were taken from a retail establishment in the 300 block of Howard Street around 1:18 p.m. Saturday.

Traffic

600 Hartrey

Oscar A. Balbuena, 46, of 5054 N. Kimball Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 600 Hartrey Ave. at 4:53 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on March 11 at 10:30 a.m.

Grey at Howard

Sarah L. Callahan, 37, of 27231 S. Wildwood Dr., Monee, was arrested at Grey Avenue and Howard Street at 5:30 a.m. Friday and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on Feb. 20 at 9 a.m.

Pitner at Church

Abriana Armani Johnson, 25, of 4737 Church St., Skokie, was arrested at Pitner Avenue and Church Street at 3:36 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m.

355 Ridge

Marzia Mohamad Mohsen, 22, of 7454 N. Seeley Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 355 Ridge Ave. at 12:32 p.m. on Jan. 14 and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Feb. 14 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
