Desktop computer missing in burglary on Mulford

Burglars entered an apartment in the 700 block of Mulford Street via an open window and stole a computer. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

700 Mulford

Burglars entered an open window to an apartment in the 700 block of Mulford Street between noon and 4:30 p.m. yesterday and stole a desktop computer.

Battery

2485 Howard

Francois Deshon Chesser, 46, address unknown, was arrested at 2485 Howard St. at 3:19 a.m. yesterday and charged with battery. He is due in court on March 29 at 9 a.m.

Theft

1600 Sherman

A shoplifter stole a cell phone from a store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between  9 a.m. and 9:20 a.m. yesterday.

1700 Orrington

A purse that was left unattended in the Evanston Public Library in the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue was stolen around noon yesterday.

Traffic

9410 McCormick

Roy Gautama, 30, of 2526 Ridge Ave., was arrested at 9410 McCormick Ave. at 7:55 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on April 22 at 10:30 a.m.                                                                                                                                                                 I
