Shoplifters have a busy weekend at Target

Incidents of shoplifting at the downtown Target store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue were reported for each day during the past weekend. This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.


1600 Sherman

Shoplifting incidents were reported for each day during the past weekend at the Target department store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue. On Friday, the thefts were of miscellaneous merchandise, then alcoholic products on Saturday, and tools yesterday.

1900 Dempster

Bicycles were stolen from a retail establishment in the 1900 block of Dempster Street between 2:48 p.m. and 4:49 p.m. yesterday.


355 Ridge

Kyndrick D. Lindsey, 34, of 7200 N. Ridge Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 355 Ridge Ave. at 4:42 a.m. today and charged with battery.

1723 Sherman

Joseph Moss, 63, of 7838 S. Aberdeen St., Chicago, was arrested at 1723 Sherman Ave. at 8:41 a.m. yesterday and charged with battery. He is due in court on May 18 at 10:30 a.m.

Criminal Damage

1800 Monroe

Someone damaged both mirrors on a 2009 Chevrolet in the 1800 block of Monroe Street around 8:30 p.m. yesterday.

1000 Hull

A bullet hole was discovered in the window of a home in the 1000 block of Hull Terrace at 4:22 p.m. Friday.

Criminal Trespass

101 Asbury

Dennis O. Wallace, 22, of 13811 Western Ave., Blue Island, was arrested at 101 Asbury Ave. at 8:13 p.m. Saturday and charged with trespassing on real property. He is due in court on May 4 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
