Vehicles damaged on Maple, Eastwood

Vehicles have been reported damaged on Maple Avenue at Crain Street and in the 2700 block of Eastwood Avenue. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Criminal Damage

Maple at Crain

Scratches and slashed tires were inflicted on a 2015 Ram vehicle near the intersection of Maple Avenue and Crain Street  between 4 p.m. Monday and 5:56 p.m. yesterday.

2700 Eastwood

A light was damaged on a 2019 Honda in the driveway of a home in the 2700 block of Eastwood Avenue between March 31 and 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

800 Elmwood

Someone broke a window of an apartment in the 800 block of Elmwood Avenue between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. yesterday.

2120 Foster

Keyvon D. Kimbrough, 26, of 635 N. Waller Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2120 Foster St. at 7:39 p.m. yesterday and charged with criminal damage to property.

Burglary

1900 Lee

A cut screen was evidence of an attempted burglary to an apartment in the 1900 block of Lee Street around 9:16 a.m. yesterday.

Graffiti

1800 Simpson

Graffiti  was discovered in the street in the 1600 block of Simpson Street at 11:43 a.m. yesterday.

Traffic

2200 Emerson

Samuel A. Thomas, 27, of 653 Dodge Ave., was arrested at 2200 Emerson St. at 7:44 p.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
