Robbery at Main and Dodge

A robber took a victim's cell phone after an altercation at a convenience store near Dodge Avenue and Main Street at about 2 a.m. yesterday.This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Robbery

800 Dodge

A cell phone was taken during an altercation at a convenience store in the 800 block of Dodge Avenue at about 2 a.m. yesterday.

Battery

3151 Harrison

Chare’l Larkin, 24, of 7911 S. Dobson Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 3151 W. Harrison St., Chicago, at 3:35 a.m. today and charged with battery. She is due in court on July 21 at 1:30 p.m.

2606 Bennett

Kentrell Manuel, 34, of 8137 S. Bennett Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2606 Bennett Ave. at 6:37 a.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on July 8 at 9:30 a.m.

Burglary

1100 Ridge

A purse and a bicycle were among items taken in the burglary of a home in the 1100 block of Ridge Avenue between 10 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday.

2100 Payne

Three bicycles were taken from an unlocked shed in the yard of a home in the 2100 block of Payne Street between last Tuesday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

3000 Park

An unlocked door provided access for a burglary to a 2008 Honda in the 3000 block of Park Place between midnight Saturday and 4:15 a.m. yesterday. Nothing was reported taken.

1700 Ridge

Credit cards were taken from an office building in the 1700 block of Ridge Avenue around 1:05 p.m. Friday.

Criminal Damage

2700 Hampton

Scratches were discovered at 8:55 p.m. yesterday on the passenger side rear wheel well of a 2020 Toyota in an apartment parking space in the 2700 block of Hampton Parkway.

Other

1811 Hovland

Orman P. Hewitt, 18, of 1811 Hovland Court, was arrested at that address at 7:28 p.m. Saturday and charged with disorderly conduct and breach of peace. He is due in court on July 16 at 1:30 p.m.

Shots Heard

1700 Leland

Gunshots were reported in the 1700 block of Leland Avenue at 9:42 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

2200 Oakton

A pickpocket removed items from a victim’s purse at a hardware store in the 2200 block of Oakton Street between 5 and 6 p.m. Saturday.

2100 Keeney

An unsecured bicycle was stolen from the yard of a home in the 2100 block of Keeney Street around 3 p.m. yesterday.

1000 Main

Vehicle parts were taken from a 2019 Jeep in the driveway of a home in the 1000 block of Main Street between 5 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Saturday.

3300 Central

Jewelry and cell phone accessories were taken from a CVS Pharmacy in the 3300 block of Central Street around 8:30 p.m. Friday.

2600 Bennett

A package containing a cell phone that had been delivered to an apartment common area in the 2600 block of Bennett Avenue was stolen between 2:57 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Friday.

300 Howard

A package containing cosmetic products that had been delivered to an apartment common area in the 300 block of Howard Street was stolen between 10:40 a.m. and noon Friday.

Traffic

1300 Ridge

Adrian Lopez, 23, of 720 Brummel St., was arrested at 1300 Ridge Ave. at 6:16 a.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Aug. 11 at 9 a.m.

1805 Howard

Gerardo Moreno, 21, of 2223 W. Morse Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1805 Howard St. around 11 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Aug. 11 at 10:30 a.m.
