Grafitti was sprayed on the sidewalk at the corner of Ridge Avenue and Monroe Street at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday.
Jeremy Jarrod Nicholson, 21, of 1341 McDaniel Ave., was arrested at 1309 Simpson St. at 5:27 p.m. Tuesday and charged with possession of cannabis.
Someone reported shots fired in the 1700 block of Cleveland Street at 9:38 p.m. Monday. The area was checked but nothing was found.
Michael T. O’Malley, 27, of 3421 Park Place, was arrested at the Davis Street CTA station at 2:22 this morning and charged with theft of services. He is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Dec. 14.
Zachary S. Spear, 27, who police say is homeless, was arrested at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1509 Ridge Ave., at 8:31 p.m. Monday and charged with trespassing on state-supported land, theft and retail theft. He was also arrested at the same location at 3:56 p.m. Tuesday and faces an additional retail theft charge. He is scheduled to appear in court at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 13 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 11.
Dennis O. Wallace, 20, 129 Elmwood Ave., was arrested at the Jewel-Osco at 1128 Chicago Ave., at 12:03 p.m. Tuesday and charged with retail theft. He is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Nov. 13.
Faydra S. Quarles, 31, 7614 N. Greenview Ave. in Chicago, was arrested at 2125 W. Howard St. at 2:17 p.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation. She's scheduled to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 20.
Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
