Arrests for battery, DUI and breach of peace

A man was charged with battery, a woman was charged with driving under the influence, a man was charged with breaching the peace at a shopping center. Those are among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Battery

945 McDaniel
Dwayne K. West, 28, 945 McDaniel Ave., was arrested at 945 McDaniel Ave. at 2:18 p.m. Monday and charged with battery.

Breach of peace

1928 Dempster
Gregory W. Johnson, 53, 920 Judson Ave., Apt. 2, was arrested at 1928 Dempster St. at 9:20 p.m. Monday and charged with breach of the peace. He is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Jan. 10.

Driving under the influence

Dempster and Darrow
Leiya E. English, 25, 1405 Dempster St., was arrested at Dempster Street and Darrow Avenue at 7:29 p.m. Monday and charged with driving under the influence. She is scheduled to appear in court at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 8.

Theft

700 Dobson
A package delivered to an apartment building in the 700 block of Dobson Street was stolen between 2 and 4:48 p.m. Monday.

Traffic

1454 Elmwood
Richard Adel Chalmers, 28, 5801 N. Sheridan Road in Chicago, was arrested at the Evanston police station at 1454 Elmwood Ave. at 2:53 p.m. Saturday and was charged with a traffic violation. He is scheduled to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 18.

1400 Ridge
Bessie L. Salter, 67, 7327 Rogers in Chicago, was arrested at 1400 Ridge Ave. at 11:44 a.m. Friday and was charged with a traffic violation. She is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Jan. 17.
