Although street sweeping officially ends for the year today, Evanston’s Public Works Department is asking residents to follow the even/odd Snow Emergency parking restrictions next week to facilitate one final leaf clearing.
Starting Monday, city crews will make one final sweep through the city from south (Howard Street) to north (Isabella Street).
Raking leaves into the street is prohibited and officials ask that residents report any leaf piles dumped in their area by calling 311 by Friday.
The city will be unable to respond to any requests for leaf removal after Dec 9 because all remaining crews will be converted to snow operations.
