An Evanston woman was accosted by two men who took her cell phone and bag near Haven Middle School, at Prairie Avenue and Lincoln Street, at about 2 p.m. today, police reported.

She was walking and talking along Prairie Avenue when she was grabbed and struck in the head, according to Cmdr. Joseph Dugan.

The 21-year-old woman identified the suspects as two black males in their 20s, who proceeded west on Lincoln following the attack, Dugan said.

The extent of injuries to the victim were not immediately known, he added.
