A car carrier semi-trailer truck got stuck on the Union Pacific North line tracks at Oakwood Avenue in Wilmette this afternoon, delaying Metra commuter rail traffic.

Evanston Now reader Clif Brown took this picture and provided details about the incident. He says a northbound train was parked at the Central Street Metra station in Evanston for a while waiting for the truck to be removed from the tracks, but that rail traffic is moving again now.

Oakwood is the first grade crossing after the rail line descends from the embankment that it runs on through Evanston.
