Northwestern University police say a female NU student living in the 2100 block of Maple Avenue woke up shortly after 7 a.m. this morning to find a man standing near her in her apartment bedroom.

Northwestern University police say a female NU student living in the 2100 block of Maple Avenue woke up shortly after 7 a.m. this morning to find a man standing near her in her apartment bedroom.

The student said the unknown man didn’t say anything to her and immediately left the room and apartment. She called 911, but police were unable to locate the man. There were no signs of forced entry to the apartment and the student was not harmed or injured.

Police say the student was unable to provide a detailed description of the man.

Persons with information that may help locate the intruder are being asked to call Evanston police at 847-866-5000.
