Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin of Evanston says he’s not going to run for county board president after all.

After talking up the possibility of a run, Suffredin now is telling supporters that, because of unspecified family considerations, he’s just going to run for re-election to his current post next year.

Meanwhile several other candidates are jockeying for position for the board presidency. Greg Hinz of Chicago Business has more on that.
