Someone placed sugar in the gas tank of a 2011 Chevrolet in the 800 block of Brummel Street between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday.
Battery
1640 Chicago
Darion A. Buchanan, 20, of 8704 S. Burley Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1640 Chicago Ave. at 3:30 p.m. yesterday and charged with battery. He is due in court on March 11 at 9 a.m.
Theft
800 Dewey
A package delivered to a home in the 800 block of Dewey Avenue was stolen around 10:21 p.m. Thursday.
2200 Oakton
Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from the shelves of a hardware store in the 2200 block of Oakton Street around 2 p.m. yesterday.
1600 Chicago
A wallet was removed from a purse at a grocery store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue around 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
1100 Chicago
Alcoholic products were taken from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue around 4 p.m. yesterday.
1600 Dodge
A wallet was removed from a bag at Evanston Township High School between 3:30 p.m. and 4:11 p.m. yesterday.
