Suitcase stolen from car on Howard

A suitcase containing some $3,000 worth of clothing was stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of Howard Street. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Arson

1454 Elmwood

Latoshia M. McMorris, 45, of 1917 Lyons St., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 4:15 p.m. Monday and charged with aggravated arson. She is due in court on Sept. 13 at 9 a.m.

Battery

2410 Main

Iesha M. Lomax, 28, of 1621 Monroe St., was arrested at 2410 Main St. at 2:30 a.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery. She is due in court on Aug. 31 at 9:30 a.m.

900 Ridge

Malcolm Novado Lyons, 27, of 1829 Hovland Court, was arrested at 900 Ridge Court at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on Aug. 31 at 9:30 a.m.

1454 Elmwood.

Latoshia M. McMorris, 45, of 1719 Lyons St., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 4:15 p.m. Monday and charged with domestic battery. She is due in court on Sept. 13 at 9 a.m.

1800 Hovland

A victim was attacked by two offenders in an alley in the 1800 block of Hovland Court between 9:21 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. yesterday.

Burglary

800 Foster

A laptop computer was stolen from an unlocked 2013 Ford in an apartment parking lot in the 800 block of Foster Street between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. yesterday.

400 Howard

A suitcase containing about $3,000 worth of clothing was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in an alley in the 400 block of Howard Street between 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Saturday.

Criminal Trespass

517 Chicago

Jason Phillips, 50, of 44 W. 112th St., Chicago, was arrested at 517 Chicago Ave. at 1:28 a.m. yesterday and charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle. He is due in court on Sept. 20 at 9 a.m.

1702 Dodge

Julius Ernest Flowers, 18, of 1744 Dodge Ave., was arrested at 1702 Dodge Ave. at 12:35 p.m. yesterday and charged with mob action. He is due in court on Aug. 24 at 1:30 p.m.

1933 Grey

Desmond I. McGregor, 23, of 7607 N. Glenwood, Chicago, was arrested at 1933 Grey Ave. at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and charged with violation of an order of protection. He is due in court on Aug. 31 at 9:30 a..m.

2019 Noyes

Amondo D. Taylor, 21, of 1920 Emerson St., was arrested at 2019 Noyes St. at 2:50 p.m. yesterday and charged with disobedience to police. He is due in court on Sept. 15 at 9 a.m.

2323 Grey

Irvin Yorke, 20, of 1025 Knox Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 2323 Grey Ave. at 2:50 p.m. yesterday and charged with disobedience to police. He is due in court on Sept. 15 at 9 a.m.

Theft

1100 Chicago

Someone stole alcoholic products from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue around 11 a.m. Wednesday. Suspect is a 5-foot-8-inch-tall black male weighing 170 pounds.

1400 Chicago

A graphic processor unit for a computer was in a package that was stolen from an apartment/condo common area in the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue between 2:16 p.m. Monday and 8:02 a.m. yesterday

Traffic

1200 Asbury

Geoffrey Lynell Watt, 56, of 2105 Hebron, Zion, was arrested at 1200 Asbury Ave. at 7:45 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Sept. 20 at 10:30 a.m.
