Summer in Evanston — and there’s lots to do for fun over the next few days.
Eight beautiful private gardens around town will be open for tours during the 28th annual Evanston Garden Walk from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets are available online. Proceeds benefit the educational programs of the Evanston Environmental Association.
Both Saturday and Sunday in downtown Evanston there’ll be artwork, strolling street musicians and performers, small bites of food, and craft beer and wine tastings at the Evanston Chamber Artisan SummerFest. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The location is Sherman Avenue between Davis and Clark streets.
Then next Tuesday, the Starlight Concert series continues with a performance by The Lawrence Peters Outfit at Bent Park, Central Street and Cowper Avenue, at 7 p.m. Food trucks and family activities will be available beginning at 6 p.m.
