1800 Maple
Someone took sunglasses, cell phone accessories and other items by accessing the unlocked door of a 2016 Jeep in the parking lot of a business in the 1800 block of Maple Avenue between 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Criminal Damage to Property
1400 Cleveland
Someone dented the roof of a 2012 Audi in the 1400 block of Cleveland Street at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday.
100 Clyde
Someone sprayed graffiti on an apartment in the 100 block of Clyde Avenue at 8:48 a.m. Wednesday.
Domestic Battery
1499 Elmwood
Josean Alexa Rio, 20, 5336 Mulford St. in Skokie, was arrested at 1454 Elmwood Ave. at 6:59 p.m. Wednesday, was charged with domestic battery and is due to appear in Skokie District Court at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 15.
Shots Fired
1700 Grey
Shots were reported in the 1700 block of Grey Avenue at 12:17 p.m. Wednesday but nothing was found in the area.
Theft
300 Custer
Jeffrey Velez-Rivera, 38, homeless, was arrested at 320 Custer Ave. at 10:09 p.m. Wednesday and charged with retail theft.
