Great weather is forecast for the Fountain Square Arts Festival that will fill downtown streets in Evanston with artists’ tents today and Sunday.

Sunny skies and a high temperature around 80 degrees will greet visitors today. There’s a slight chance of a thunderstorm in the forecast for tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service.

This is the 34th edition of the annual event sponsored by the Evanston Chamber of Commerce and features juried artwork by more than 225 artist vendors plus live entertainment and crafts activities for children

Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

  1. Fewer artists?

The amount of booths down Church toward Le Peep was drastically reduced from last year. Is there a known reason for this? That amount of booths being gone would be a pretty large fall in revenue for the event.

    Fewer applications this year?
