1100 Washington

Arson is suspected in a fire in the laundry room at the Rice Child and Family Center in the 1100 block of Washington Street around 7:11 p.m. Sunday.

Battery

2024 Wesley

Carlos T. Harrison, 24, of 2024 Wesley Ave., was arrested at that address at 12:17 p.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on June 13 at 9:30 a.m.

Burglary

900 Main

An appliance was stolen from an apartment storage area in the 900 block of Main Street between midnight and 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

1400 Fowler

Someone forced the door open to the garage at a home in the 1400 block of Fowler Avenue between 5 p.m.Wednesday and 2 p.m. Friday and stole power and hand tools.

2400 Colfax

Bicycles were taken from the unlocked garage of a home in the 2400 block of Colfax Street between 8 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

700 Church

Someone damaged the hinges on the door in an unsuccessful attempt to enter a restaurant in the 700 block of Church Street between 11 p.m.Sunday and 1 p.m. yesterday.

Criminal Damage

1100 Dewey

Someone broke the passenger window of a 2012 Chrysler in the driveway of a home in the 1100 block of Dewey Avenue between 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. yesterday.

700 Howard

The control box was damaged at an apartment common area in the 700 block of Howard Street between 10 p.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

805 Main

China R. Irving, 24, of 205 Foster St., was arrested at 805 Main St. at 9:54 p.m. yesterday and charged with unlawful use of a weapon. 

1509 McDaniel

Raquel Yolanda Miller, 36, of 1615 Emerson St., was arrested at 1509 McDaniel Ave. at 3:01 a.m. yesterday and charged with a violation of the city’s noise ordinance. She is due in court on July 9 at 9 a.m.

Theft

2200 Oakton

Food was stolen from a retail establishment in the 2200 block of Oakton Avenue between noon and 1:09 p.m. Friday.

2400 Main

Alcoholic and hygiene products were stolen from a grocery store in the 2400 block of Main Street around 2:11 p.m. Friday.

1700 Sherman

A bicycle was stolen from an alley in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Friday.

2900 Central

A bicycle was taken from a restaurant in the 2900 block of Central Street between 1:50 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

1700 Chicago

A Trek Marlin bicycle was taken from the garage of a home in the 1700 block of Chicago Avenue between May 13 and 4:19 p.m. Saturday.

Maple at Clark

A bicycle was stolen from a bike rack near Maple Avenue and Clark Street between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.yesterday.

2100 Green Bay

A bicycle was taken from a business parking lot in the 2100 block of Green Bay Road between 4:45 p.m. and 5:02 p.m. Sunday.

1000 Harvard

A 2010 BMW was stolen from the 1000 block of Harvard Terrace around 10 a.m. Friday.

Traffic

Howard at Asbury

Jose A. Azucena, 37, of 6215 N. Washtenaw Ave., Chicago, was arrested at Howard Street and Asbury Avenue at 2 a.m. Sunday and charged with driving under the influence.

Ridge at Dempster

Jammony I. Cole-Thomas, 25, of 6701 S.Crandon Ave., Chicago, was arrested at Ridge Avenue and Dempster Street at 2:20 a.m. Sunday and charged with driving under the influence.

2015 Dempster

Jonathan R. Harris, 36, of 1613 Henry Place, Waukegan, was arrested at 2015 Dempster St. at 11:29 p.m. Friday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on June 15 at 10:30 a.m.

2000 Dempster

Araceli Herrera, 21, of 1110 Darrow Ave., was arrested at 2000 Dempster St. at 10:14 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 12 at 10:30 a.m.
