The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County offers an at-home pickup program for recycling old computers and electronics gear.
Evanston residents can call SWANCC at 847-724-9205 to arrange for a pickup.
Residents will pay $25 via credit card to offset program costs and can recycle six items per pick up. No individual item can exceed 50 pounds. Cell phones and calculators do not count as “items.”
On the scheduled pick-up day, items must be placed on the front porch or steps, tagged with provided signage, by 7:30 a.m.
