A burglar broke the glass door to the Amanacer Taco Shop on Main Street last night and made off with the cash register. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

512 Main

A witness told police he saw a lone burglar break the glass door to the Amanacer Taco Shop in the 500 block of Main Street at about 10:17 p.m. yesterday and take the cash register, which police recovered nearby.

600 Dodge

An attempt was made to break into a 2007 Jeep in the 600 block of Dodge Avenue between 1 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday.

Battery

2748 Green Bay

Dwight A. Hudson, 69, of 2554 Prairie Ave., was arrested at 2748 Green Bay Road at 9:20 p.m. yesterday and charged with battery.

1454 Elmwood

Kelli C. Rogers, 34, of 1833 Hartrey Ave., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 11:48 p.m. on April 27 and charged with domestic battery.

Criminal Damage

100 Asbury

Someone bent the mailbox at an apartment common area in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday.

1100 Lake Shore

A 2019 Subaru was keyed in the 1100 block of Lake Shore Boulevard at 6:34 p.m. Friday.

1330 Ridge

The church sign at the Unitarian Church in the 1300 block of Ridge Avenue was damaged around 11:37 a.m. Friday.

2100 Asbury

Shoes were damaged in an apartment storage area in the 2100 block of Asbury Avenue between 8 a.m. and 7:20 p.m. Saturday.

1454 Elmwood

Michael Mitchell, 58, of 719 Asbury Ave., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 11:48 p.m. on April 27 and charged with criminal damage to property. He is due in court on June 16 at 1 p.m.

1744 Dodge

Daiante Lyntrel Campbell, 19, of 326 Custer Ave., was arrested at 1744 Dodge Ave. at 3:55 p.m. yesterday and charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

Robbery

1400 Howard

A man described by police as inebriated, fell down 20 steps at an apartment common area in the 1400 block of Howard Street around 5:25 p.m. yesterday after he said he was pushed by two black males and robbed of about seven dollars. He was transported to St. Frances Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Theft

500 Michigan

A skateboard was removed from the porch of a single-family home in the 500 block of Michigan Avenue at about 8:20 p.m. yesterday.

1300 Chicago

Cash was removed from a purse at an apartment in the 1300 block of Chicago Avenue shortly after midnight Friday.

2700 Green Bay

A leather wallet was removed from a purse at Whole Foods in the 2700 block of Green Bay Road at about 1 p.m. Friday.

800 Elgin

A secured bicycle was taken from the garage of a home in the 800 block of Elgin Road between April 26 and 2 p.m. Saturday.

Traffic

101 Asbury

Julian Emmanuel Morris, 25, of 6503 N. Richmond Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 101 Asbury Ave. at 6:16 a.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 23 at 1:30 p.m.

Main at Christiana

Ryan E. Peart, 25, of 3238 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., Chicago, was arrested at Main Street and Christiana Ave., Skokie, at 5:01 p.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation.

1235 Emerson

Jerell D. Williams, 29, of 1528 W. Morris Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1235 Emerson St. at 10 p.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 16 at 9 a.m.
