At least one national chain that closed its Evanston stores after looting incidents at stores around the country in recent days reopened those stores today with limited hours.

Target reopened its downtown store in Sherman Plaza from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., even though its windows were still boarded up this morning.

At the Howard Street store the parking lot was full and posted hours were limited to 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Best Buy announced on its website that its Evanston store, also on Howard Street, which was hit by looters both Sunday and Monday, would remain closed until next Monday.
