The Fourth Annual Taste of Evanston, featuring food items from about 40 local restaurants, will take place this Sunday, July 8, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., on the lawn of the Dawes House, 225 Greenwood St.

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Evanston Lighthouse, the event is a major fundraiser that supports a number of not-for-profit organizations in Evanston, two of which are designated as principal beneficiaries of the proceeds.

This year, those organizations are Connections for the Homeless and the Reba Place Development Corp.

In addition to food and beverages from local eateries, the event features a live and silent auction, plus entertainment.
