Cook County property tax bills due Aug. 1, have been posted to the County Treasurer’s website.
To see a tax bill for a particular home or other property, go to cookcountytreasurer.com and select the purple box labeled “Your Property Tax Overview.”
You can search by address or property identification number.
Cook County Clerk Karen Yarbrough on Thursday issued a report on the new equalized assessed values for property different sections of Cook County.

The report shows a decline in values of north suburban and south suburban real estate, while the values for properties in Chicago increased sharply.
Yarbrough’s report also indicates that the average increase in tax bills this year for north suburban residents was 0.21 percent.
