Evanston police say an 18-year-old Evanston man was shot multiple times early this morning in the 1900 block of Emerson Street.

Police Chief Richard Eddington identified the injured victim as Demarcus Curtis, who’s address wasn’t immediately available.

Police Chief Richard Eddington identified the injured victim as Demarcus Curtis, who’s address wasn’t immediately available.

Eddington says police recovered several shell casings at the scene — a yard near the intersection of Emerson and Brown Avenue.

Detectives are still investigating the incident, which was first reported at 2:39 a.m.
