Firefighters place accident victim into ambulance.

Three women were taken to the hospital via ambulance following a collision downtown around 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

The women, along with a juvenile, were in one of two SUV’s which crashed at the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Grove Street.

An Evanston firefighter on the scene said the injuires were not life-threatening.

The other car had one occupant, a male driver. He was apparently not hurt, and was not transported for medical treatment.

The juvenile also went to the hospital, but more to be with her parent, the firefighter said, than due to injury, which was only an abrasion.

The accident remains under investigation.
