Evanston health officials reported three new COVID-19 cases among city residents today, raising the case count here to 783.

No new deaths from the pandemic were reported in Evanston today, leaving the death toll at 69.

Chicago reported 222 new cases today raising its total to 51.950 and two additional deaths for a total of 2,582.

Across Illinois there were 646 more cases for a total of 141,723 and 15 more deaths for a total of 6,888.

So far during the pandemic just over 1% of Evanston residents have been diagnosed with the disease, 1.9% of Chicago residents and 1.1% of all Illinois rsidents.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported results of coronavirus tests of 23,789 residents today with a positive rate of 2.7%, essentially matching the seven-day rolling average.

The positive rate for Evanston residents whose test results were reported today was 2.8%
