Evanston’s health department reported three new COVID-19 cases today but no more deaths while the state saw 797 new cases and 94 additional deaths.
The city now has a total of 744 cases and 57 deaths while the state has seen 129,212 cases and 6,018 deaths.
Evanston reports that 631 people who’ve fallen ill with the coronavirus are either recovering or have already recovered leaving what the city says is 56 people with active cases of the disease.
Chicago is reporting 240 new cases today for a total of 48,603 and 22 more deaths for a total of 2,305.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported the results of 20,309 COVID-19 tests today with positive results on 3.9% of the day’s tests and a seven-day average of 4.4% positive results.

All four regions of the state continue to be on track to meet standards for moving to the next state of the Restore Illinois reopening process later this month.
