Until now, much of the construction work on the new Robert Crown Center, Ice Rink, and Library Branch at Main Street and Dodge Avenue has been at ground level and below. But with steel deliveries commencing this past week, the project is due to go airborn, according to the weekly construction report issued Friday.
Last week, workers completed installing the foundation system, even as they continued underground mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work and continued site grading and foundation backfilling.
But they also began receiving steel deliveries, which will continue next week, as they commence steel erection. Also, no construction alerts nor traffic control updates are anticipated.
