THEFT
700 Chicago
The tip jar was taken from the Hoosier Mama Restaurant in the 700 block of Chicago Avenue around noon Wednesday.
900 Davis
A gray Fuji Crosstown bicycle secured to a bike rack in the 900 block of Davis Street was stolen between 7:05 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
1700 Chicago
A silver bicycle secured to a bike rack in the 1700 block of Chicago Avenue was stolen between 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday.
1800 Sheridan
A green Cannondale bicycle that was secured to a bike rack in the 1800 block of Sheridan Road was stolen between 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tuesday.
400 Sherman
A black Giordano Brava hybrid bicycle that was secured at a residence in the 400 block of Sherman Avenue was stolen around 1:48 a.m. Wednesday.
200 Ridge
A package was stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Ridge Avenue at 7:22 p.m. on Friday.
A package was stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Ridge Avenue at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday.
300 Custer
A package was taken from a residence in the 300 block of Custer Avenue around midnight on July 21.
600 Chicago
Food items were stolen from the Walgreens Pharmacy in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
BURGLARY
700 Lincoln
Someone gained entry to an unlocked garage in the 700 block of Lincoln Street between June 30 and July 30. Nothing was reported missing..
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Ridge at Reba
A vehicle was struck by a water balloon at Ridge Avenue and Reba Place at 1:21 a.m. Thursday, damaging a headlight.
927 Noyes
Arijit U. Biswas, 28, of 2223 Ridge Ave., was arrested at 927 Noyes St. at 11 a.m. Wednesday and charged with criminal damage to property.
1860 Sherman
David L. Miller, 58, of 1860 Sherman Ave., was arrested at that address at 8:56 a.m. on July 26 and charged with criminal damage to property.
GRAFFITI
500 Custer
Spray-painted graffiti was discovered at a residence in the 500 block of Custer Avenue at 11:08 a.m. Tuesday.
3300 Grant
Graffiti was discovered on a marker at a park in the 3300 block of Grant Street at 10:25 a.m. Wednesday.
OTHER
1301 Brummel
Kristen Nicole Howard, 45, of 730 Ferndale St., Gurnee, was arrested at 1301 Brummel St. at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday and charged with disorderly conduct.
ROBBERY
2400 Howard
A teller at a bank in the 2400 block of Howard Street was approached by a subject armed with a knife who demanded money at 5:46 p.m. Wednesday. The victim complied, and no one was injured.
SHOTS HEARD
2000 Church
Gunshots were reported in the 2000 block of Church Street at 11:17 p.m. Wednesday. Police checked the area but found nothing.
TRAFFIC
519 Asbury
Nathaniel C. Stevenson, 22, of 1216 South Boulevard, was arrested at 519 Asbury Ave. at 7:24 a.m. Wednesday and charged with driving under the influence.
