Evanston police say tips from neighborhood residents led to the arrest of last week of a suspected drug dealer near Oakton School.

Police Commander Tom Guenther says officers investigating those tips developed information that led to their executing a search warrant on a basement apartment at 1107 South Blvd. Thursday morning.

Officers say they found 3.4 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $14,000 and arrested a resident of the apartment, Kristopher Michael Kelly, 29.

He’s now charged with felony possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and is scheduled to appear March 11 in Skokie district court.
