Cars were found this weekend with tires slashed in the 1400 blocks of Grey and Brown avenues, just south of the Evanston Township High School campus. These are among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Criminal Damage

1400 Grey

A tire was found slashed on a 2019 Toyota in the 1400 block of Grey Avenue at 11:15 a.m. yesterday.

1400 Brown

Tires were found slashed on a 2004 Nissan in the 1400 block of Brown Avenue at 11:15 a.m. yesterday.

1700 Seward

Someone damaged the passenger side window of a 2002 Honda in the 1700 block of Seward Street between 6 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Burglary

3100 Thayer

Tools were stolen from the open garage of a home in the 3100 block of Thayer Street shortly before 1 p.m. Friday.

Drugs

Oakton at Florence

Victor M. Lugo, 28, was arrested at Oakton Street and Florence Avenue at 11 p.m. Saturday and charged with possession of cannabis. He is due in court on May 1 at 9 a.m.

Graffiti

Chicago at Washington

Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk at Chicago Avenue and Washington Street at 8:15 a.m. Friday.

Shots Heard

200 Ridge

Gunshots were reported in the 200 block of Ridge Avenue at 3:20 a.m. Saturday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

900 Maple

A cell phone was stolen from a mental health facility in the 900 block of Maple Avenue between 6:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. yesterday.

900 Pitner

Stereo equipment that had been delivered to an apartment in the 900 block of Pitner Avenue was stolen between 11:23 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday.

1900 Dempster

A 2016 Mitsubishi was stolen from an alley in the 1900 block of Dempster Street around 9 p.m. Friday.

Traffic

633 Howard

Danielle Marie Frazier, 28, of 2847 E. 90th St., Chicago, was arrested at 633 Howard St. at 2:41 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on May 13 at 10:30 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
