Tires slashed on Davis

Two vehicles had their tires slashed on Davis Street yesterday morning. These among the stories in today's daily crime bulletin from Evanston police. 

Assault

1900 Jackson

Shots were fired at a person in an alley in the 1900 block of Jackson Avenue at 11:50 p.m. yesterday.

Battery

739 Howard

LeeAnn Smith, 21, of 2104 Birchwood, Chicago, was arrested at 739 Howard St. at 10:25 p.m. yesterday and charged with battery. A court date was set for 10:30 a.m. May 10.

Burglary

500 Sheridan Square

A Garmin GPS and charger and an I-Pass were stolen from an unlocked Honda parked in the 500 block of Sheridan Square between 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. yesterday.

Criminal damage to vehicle

1100 Davis

The tires of a 2008 Ford parked in the 1100 block of Davis Street were punctured between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. yesterday.

The tires of a 2010 Toyota parked in the 1100 block of Davis Street were slashed between 2:50 a.m. and 11 a.m. yesterday.

Criminal trespass

1560 Sherman

Benjamin Y. Johnson, 57, of Evanston, was arrested at 1560 Sherman Ave. at 8:59 p.m. Tuesday and charged with criminal trespass to land. A court date was set for 9 a.m. May 17.

Theft

1711 Sherman

Gino R. Garcia, 56, of 7226 N. Rogers, Chicago, was arrested at 1711 Sherman Ave. at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday and charged with retail theft. A court date was set for 9 a.m. May 6.

Traffic

1027 Greenwood

John Fitzgerald O'Connor, 51, of 6230 N. Navajo, Chicago, was arrested at 1027 Greenwood St. at 6:31 a.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. A court date was set for 9 a.m. May 17.

999 Howard

Adrian Zamudio-Navarrette, 35, of 2129 N. Latrobe, Chicago, was arrested at 999 Howard St. at 1:07 p.m. yesterday and charged with no driver's license. A court date was set for 9 a.m. May 10.
