Tires slashed on Range Rover on Church

Tires were slashed and the front and rear doors were scratched up on a 2014 Range Rover in the 1600 block of Church Street. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Battery

1810 Monroe

Vidal Arturo Castro Sanchez, 39, of 1810 Monroe St., was arrested at that address at 1:30 a.m. Sunday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on July 13 at 9:30 a.m.

Burglary

1600 Ridge

A mountain bike and computer equipment were taken in a burglary at an apartment in the 1600 block of Ridge Avenue between 11:30 a.m. and noon Monday.

2200 Harrison

Three bicycles were taken from an unlocked garage of a home in the 2200 block of Harrison Street between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Monday.

2100 Maple

Computer-based gaming equipment was taken in the burglary of an apartment in the 2100 block of Maple Avenue around 6 a.m. yesterday.

Criminal Damage

1600 Church

Tires were slashed and front and rear doors sustained scratches on a 2014 Range Rover in the driveway of a home in the 1600 block of Church Street between 9:30 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Drugs

1910 Dempster

Michael Alexander Redmond, 23, of 574 Savannah Drive, Walton, Ken., was arrested at 1910 Dempster St. at 9:40 a.m. yesterday and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He is due in court on Aug. 12 at 9 a.m.

2650 Ridge

Allen S. Williams, 57, of 901 W. 63rd St., Chicago, was arrested at 2650 Ridge Ave. at 9:57 p.m. Saturday and charged with  possession of controlled substance.

Theft

Chicago at Lee

A cell phone was taken from a taxi near Chicago Avenue and Lee Street around 10:30 a.m. yesterday.

500 Church

Cash was removed from a purse at a religious institution in the 500 block of Church Street between 9 a.m. and 9:35 a.m. yesterday.

Traffic

1200 Oak

Kristia Renee Berg, 24, address unknown, was arrested at 1200 Oak Ave. at 11:14 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Aug. 17 at 10:30 a.m.

1917 Jackson

Curtis A. Carter, 24, of 1936 Jackson Ave., was arrested at 1917 Jackson Ave. at 1:30 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Aug. 5 at 9 a.m.

Foster at Ridge

Nika Siamashvili, 20, of 437 Ferndale Court, Buffalo Grove, was arrested at Foster Street and Ridge Avenue at 9:30 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on July 29 at 10:30 a.m.

2309 Emerson

Dion J. Tolbert, 28, of 1447 Touhy Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2309 Emerson St. at 11:40 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Aug. 17 at 9 a.m.
