CRIMINAL DAMAGE

1200 Cleveland

Someone slashed tires on a 2015 BMW in the 1200 block of Cleveland Street between 10 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday.

THEFT

800 Brummel

A license plate was reported stolen Saturday morning from a 2016 Nissan in a parking lot in the 800 block of Brummel Street.

1600 Chicago

Food items were stolen from the Whole Foods Market in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

1700 Chicago

Timothy J. Salser, 41, of 8 Cherry St., Savannah, Ga., was arrested at 1700 Chicago Ave. at 10:10 p.m. Friday and charged with theft. He is due in court on March 9 at 9 a.m.

BATTERY

550 Hartrey

Jorge Alberto Tafoya-Cruz, 41, of 1705 Dempster St., was arrested at 550 Hartrey Ave. at 4:31 p.m. Friday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Feb. 22 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
