Took clothes right off the line

Someone stole clothes off the line in an apartment/condo common area in the 700 block of Sherman Avenue. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Battery

1809 Dempster

Rafael Santos-Parra, 28, of 1809 Dempster St., was arrested at that address at 6:19 p.m. Monday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on July 27 at 9:30 a.m.

Burglary

200 Callan

A wallet was stolen from an unlocked 2016 Chevrolet in the 200 block of Callan Avenue between 8:20 p.m. Monday and 6:20 a.m. yesterday.

Drugs

538 Custer

Caisey P. Morris, 22, of 538 Custer Ave., was arrested at that address at 11:42 p.m. Monday and charged with possession of a controlled substance. He is due in court on July 13 at 9 a.m.

2315 Emerson

Matthew T. Kowalski, 24, of 2509 59th St., Woodridge, was arrested at 2315 Emerson St. at 11:49 p.m. yesterday and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He is due in court on July 26 at 9 a.m.

Other

623 Howard

Terrell T. Wright, 20, of 1627 Monroe St., was arrested at 623 Howard St. at 11:42 p.m. Monday and charged with illegal consumption of liquor as a minor. He is due in court on July 29 at 10:30 a.m.

Dodge at Church

A report of a man with a gun was received from the area of Church Street and Dodge Avenue at 4:40 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found no man with a gun.

Heard Shots 

1800 Wesley

Gunshots were reported in the 1800 block of Wesley Avenue at 4:33 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

700 Sherman

A number of items of clothing were removed from a clothes line at an apartment/condo common area in the 700 block of Sherman Avenue between 5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday.

900 Dempster

A package of clothing delivered to an apartment/condo common area in the 900 block of Dempster Street was stolen between 12:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Monday.

1700 Orrington

A bicycle and a bike lock were stolen from a bike rack in the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. yesterday.

Traffic

623 Howard

Fernando Ismael Heredia, 25, of 538 Custer Ave., was arrested at 623 Howard St. at 11:42 p.m. Monday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on July 29 at 10:30 a.m.

1454 Elmwood

Nicolas Moreno, 18, of 2001 Dodge Ave., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 5:15 p.m. Monday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on July 15 at 9 a.m.

Dodge at Foster

Sean James Nelson, 36, of 1000 Dodge Ave., was arrested at Dodge Avenue and Foster Street at 10:50 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on July 29 at 10:30 a.m.
