Burglary

700 Oakton

A burglar removed the hinges of a door to access an apartment storage area and steal tools in the 700 block of Oakton Street between midnight and 11:35 a.m. yesterday.

1100 Dobson

Pry marks on a door presented evidence of an attempted breakin at a home in the 1100 block of Dobson Avenue between 10 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. yesterday.

Battery

325 Callan

James A. Nelson, 56, of 325 Callan Ave., was arrested at that address at 10:45 p.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on Feb. 14 at 9:30 a.m.

Criminal Trespass

101 Asbury

Roderick X. P. Walker, 26, of 1400 W. Greenleaf Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 101 Asbury Ave. at 8:18 p.m. yesterday and charged with trespass of real property. He is due in court on March 14 at 9 a.m.

Other

1800 Hovland

A 20-year-old Chicago man was shot and killed in the 1800 block of Hovland Court at 11:38 p.m. yesterday.

Traffic

803 Monroe

Emily A, Lynch, 36, of 906 Seward St., was arrested at 803 Monroe St. at 9:15 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on Feb. 22 at 10:30 a.m.
