City cancels Supplier Diversity Conference

The city's Division of Purchasing has canceled its annual Supplier Diversity Conference, originally advertised in the City's Highlights newsletter for Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Hilton Garden Inn.

The event's cancellation is due to a number of scheduling conflicts city staff members have encountered.

The City plans to hold the next Supplier Diversity Conference sometime next year.

The City has sponsored a Supplier Diversity Conference annually for the last seven years.

Home-grown artists sought

The city is seeking additional artists to participate in a special event this fall at the Evanston Farmers' Market.

Called Home-Grown Artists, the program invites artists who live or work in the city to display their works in any medium at the market, which runs from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on three Saturdays, Sept. 23 and 30 and Oct. 7.

There's a $50 per week fee and a limit of 18 artists per week.

An application form is attached. For more information, contact Emily Guthrie at 847-867-4826 or [email protected].
