Assault

2300 Noyes

Virgil Lee Burgs, 60, of 1215 Massasoit Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2300 Noyes Court at 7:51 p.m. Sunday and charged with assault. He is due in court on Dec. 21 at 9:30 a.m.

Battery

7518 Damen

Paris M. Christian, 25, of 214 Broadway, Chicago Heights, was arrested at 2:10 p.m. yesterday at 7518 N. Damen Ave., Chicago, and charged with domestic battery.

Criminal Damage

1500 Pitner

A known offender pushed a victim’s motorcycle over, causing damage, in the 1500 block of Pitner Avenue around 3 p.m. yesterday.

Graffiti

1100 Monroe

Graffiti defaced the sidewalk in the 1100 block of Monroe Street sometime before 3 p.m. yesterday.

Theft

1600 Sherman

Jewelry and a wallet were stolen from an athletic club in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 2:35 p.m. and 3:05 p.m. yesterday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
