A 2009 Toyota Prius was stolen overnight Wednesday from its parking spot near the intersection of Hinman Avenue and Keeney Street and gunshots were reported in the 1300 block of Darrow Avenue on Wednesday. These are among stories in today’s crime bulletin from Evanston police.

THEFT

Hinman at Keeney

A silver 2009 Toyota Prius was stolen from Hinman Avenue and Keeney Street between 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. yesterday.

1500 Sherman

A gaming system was taken from a residence in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue between June 11 and 5 p.m. Tuesday.

1100 Chicago

Alcoholic merchandise was taken from Binny’s Beverage Depot in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday.

324 Callan

A watch was stolen from a residence at 324 Callan Ave. between 3 a.m. and `12:20 p.m. yesterday.

605 Case

A package was taken from a residence at 605 Case Place at about 8:48 p.m. yesterday.

1901 Simpson

Shan Ibragimovrav, 53, of 1458 Chicago Ave., was arrested at 1901 Simpson St. at 9 a.m. Wednesday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on July 26 at 9 a.m.

SHOTS HEARD

1300 Darrow

Gunshots were reported in the 1300 block of Darrow Avenue at 9:09 p.m. Wednesday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

BATTERY

731 Dobson

Jude L. Gray, 42, of 731 Dobson St., was arrested at 9:42 p.m. Tuesday and charged with battery.

BURGLARY

1800 Ridge

A burglar forced entry to a construction site in the 1800 block of Ridge Avenue between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday and stole some power tools.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

2603 Sheridan

Someone broke a window at a conservatory in the 2600 block of Sheridan Road between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 4:54 p.m. yesterday.

GRAFFITI

1700 Orrington

Graffiti was discovered painted on a building in the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue at 2:02 p.m. Wednesday.

OTHER

1123 Dewey

Sergio F. Mora, 45, of 1123 Dewey Ave., was arrested at that address at 3:25 p.m. Monday and charged with public indecency.

TRAFFIC

628 Dodge

Maria Fernandez, 44, of 1808 Brown Ave., was arrested at 628 Dodge Ave. at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on July 14 at 1:30 p.m.

1100 Lincoln

Axel Boris Salgado Soto, 37, of 7422 W. 59th St., Summit, was arrested at 1100 Lincoln St. at 11:16 a.m. Wednesday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on July 14 at 1:30 p.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
