Evanston police say a man who broke into the yard at 2527 Oakton St. overnight was crushed to death when a jack he’d been using to lift a car slipped and the car fell on him.

Police Commander James Pickett says the man remains unidentified, but his body has now been removed from the scene by the medical examiner’s office.
