Police say two students were arrested at Evanston Township High School after a disturbance broke out in a hallway at the school about 12:30 this afternoon.
Police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan says when a school resource officer tried to break up the fight she had a hard time subduing a 17-year-old youth involved.
The teen — 6-foot-4-inches tall and weighing 300 pounds — chest-bumped the officer and tried to run away, Dugan says, but the officer was able to hang onto him until help arrived and he was taken into custody.

The 17-year-old is expected to be charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and be transported to the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center.
Dugan says a 15-year-old female student taken into custody during the incident is expected to be charged with reckless conduct.
Both of the youths are Evanston residents.
