Evanston police arrested two people early this morning in the 1800 block of Hovland Court.
Tracy S. Williams, 44, of1630 Darrow Ave. was arrested at 1800 Holvand at 2:48 a.m. and charged with retail theft. Richard M. McGinnis, 56, of 1519 Darrow Ave., was arrested about the same time at 1813 Hovland and charged with a traffic violation.
Burglary
Three cars were broken into in south Evanston Thursday. Someone stole a GPS unit from an unlocked 2004 Honda about 8 a.m. in the 1500 block of Seward St. Someone stole keys from an unlocked 2015 Ford parked in the 1000 block of Florence Avenue about 9:10 a.m. And someone stole a laptop computer from a 2019 Chevrolet parked in the 1600 block of Dobson Street about 3 p.m.
Theft
Someone stole a locked bicycle from the parkway in the 1500 block of Oak Avenue sometime between 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.
An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
