Auto theft
1500 Howard
A 2018 Chevy, unlocked with the key in the vehicle, was stolen from an apartment parking lot between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday.
1600 Maple
A 2005 Honda was stolen from the parking lot of a business in the 1600 block of Maple Avenue between 6 and 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Battery
400 Elmwood
Michael J. O’Donnell, 23, of 5864 N. Kilbourn Ave. in Chicago, was arrested at the police station at 1454 Elmwood Ave. at 4:14 p.m. July 14 and charged with aggravated battery.
Burglary
900 Wesley
A burglar entered a single family home in the 900 block of Wesley Avenue through an unlocked door and took a bag with its contents and a laptop computer between 5:50 and 7:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Theft
1700 Sherman
A cell phone and accessories were taken from a retail store in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue at 6:09 p.m. Wednesday.
Traffic
Bosworth and Howard
Alex D. Givens, 38, of 172 Barbee Ave. in Ripley, was arrested for a traffic violation at Bosworth and Howard at 3 a.m. today and is due to appear in Skokie District Court at 9 a.m. Aug. 27.
2200 Howard
Elo Christian Owolide, 21, of 325 Darrow Ave., was arrested for a traffic violation in the 2200 block of Howard Street at 4:37 p.m. Wednesday and is due to appear in Skokie District Court at 9 a.m. Sept. 20.
