Evanston Public Works crews are out plowing and salting city streets this morning. Snow started falling around 8 a.m. and it expected to continue until around 6 p.m.
Snow fall totals from today’s storm are expected to range from one to two-and-a-quarter inches — and the city’s weather forecast says it’s likely to be light and fluffy.
The high temperature today is expected to be near 25 degrees, but the National Weather Service is warning of much colder temperatures later this week. We could have a high of just 12 degrees on Tuesday.
But only a few snow flurries are expected for Christmas Day.
