Evanston health officials reported two more COVID-19 cases among city residents today raising the case count to 763, while the death toll remained unchanged at 66.

Chicago reported 155 new cases for a total of 50,084 and 17 more deaths for a total of 2,459.

Across Illinois there were 593 more cases bringing the total to 134,778 and 52 additional deaths for a total of 6,537.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported results of tests on 25,504 patients today for a positive rate of 2.3%. That brings the seven-day average positive rate to 2.6%

The IDPH reported testing 200 people in Evanston for a positive rate here of 1%. One new case today was found in each of the city’s two ZIP Codes.

All four regions of the state continue to be on track to meet the metrics required for moving to the next phase of the Restore Illinois plan later this month.
