Unlocked Chevy is stolen on Washington

An unlocked 2002 Chevrolet was stolen from the 2000 block of Washington Street. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Theft

2000 Washington

A 2002 Chevrolet was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 2000 block of Washington Street between 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. yesterday.

Graffiti

600 Hinman

Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk in the 600 block of Hinman Avenue at 9:45 a.m. yesterday.

Traffic

1800 Dodge

Frederick Bernard Davis, 59, of 1810 Dodge Ave., was arrested at 1800 Dodge Ave. at 8:15 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Dec. 13 at 10:30 a.m.

1000 Grove

Babak F. Kakesh, 32, of 9409 Keeler Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 1000 Grove St. at 2:12 p.m. Wednesday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Jan. 5, 2018, at 10:30 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
