Two bicycles were stolen from an unsecured residential garage in the 1400 block of Wesley Avenue. This among stories in Friday’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

BURGLARY
1400 Wesley
A black-and-white Giant road bicycle and a gray Lamonde road bike were stolen from a residential garage in the 1400 block of Wesley Avenue between Aug. 19 and 10:51 a.m. Thursday. No signs of forced entry were noted.

SHOTS HEARD
1400 Darrow
Gunshots were reported in the 1400 block of Darrow Avenue at 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

THEFT
1400 Central
A catalytic converter was removed from a 2002 Honda in the 1400 block of Central Street around 9 a.m. Tuesday.

TRAFFIC
2530 Ridge
Eric J. Alberts, 44, of 686 Hill Road, Winnetka, was arrested at 2530 Ridge Ave. at 5:32 p.m. Thursday and charged with driving under the influence.

355 Ridge
Melissa T. Johnson, 42, of 7079 N. Ashland Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 355 Ridge Ave. at 4:47 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation.

1826 Foster
Kijuan Lynn White, 20, of 701 Oakton St., was arrested at 1826 Foster St. at 3:06 a.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation.

Incidents listed are among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
